Eco Scanner

Eco Scanner

With the bright field camera of the ECO scanner it is possible to detect defects in high contrast, which are visible at a distance greater than 1 m, observing in transmission in a background of diffused daylight conditions (for example overcast sky) without direct sunlight , light coming from the side or light from the back.

In general, regardless of the corresponding lighting channel, defects must obtain a defect signal with respect to the surrounding glass area without defects in the ECO scanner camera image of more than 10% to be detected as a defect.

A reliable distinction between individual types of defect cannot be guaranteed, as classification can only be based on information on the shape and contrast of the individual defect. By integrating a reflection channel it is possible to distinguish between luminous reflective defects in the coating and other defects.
